May 2008 update by PC Joanne Francis, Community Safety Officer:

Tayport Neighbourhood Watch

Neighbourhood Watch is an excellent crime prevention initiative that has proved both successful and sustainable throughout Fife and the United Kingdom as a whole. It’s great strength is the collaboration of the community, Police and partner agencies to achieve a comprehensive approach to issues affecting the local area.

I am therefore pleased to report that there are now two new Neighbourhood Watch Schemes operating in Tayport. Following much good work from the local residents Elizabeth Street and Queen Street are now established Neighbourhood Watch areas. If you live in Tayport and would like to know more or are interested in setting up Neighbourhood Watch in your area please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
