The actual site is now occupied by Castle Cottage, that's on the corner of Castle Road and Albert Street.

If the site was that of Castle Cottage, why does the sketch show the wall backing on the water - castle Cottage is too far away???

I don't think the artist is implying the wall backs onto water. Its just grass or something else on the other side.

I was born in Castle Cottage in 1934 .still there when I was home in 1972. I stopped in Spring Cottage alongside.
