Saturday, May 19th Wormit Boating Club Open Day is a fun family series of events from Lucky Dip to Boat Rides. There are also the usual stalls of cake & candy and chandlery. BBQ, filled rolls and refreshments available. Woodhaven Pier, Wormit Saturday 19th May 2012 Starts 12:30 to 17:00



Monday, May 21st The remains of William Archibald Murray and his wife Margaret Campbell Murray nee Kemp will be laid to rest at Tayport Cemetery at 10am on Monday 21st May 2012. They passed away in Melbourne Australia and were long time residents of Tayport living at Muinross Rose Street before emigrating to Australia.

their remains will be accompanied by daughter Irene and son John and their spouses.

Monday, July 2nd The holiday club will once again take place during the first week of the school holidays, Monday 2nd July 2012 to Friday 6th July 2012. We are looking for volunteers who can assist us, especially to help out the Team Leaders. Going for Gold is this year's theme to link up with the Olympics.

Regular Events

In Tayport there are regular car boot sales every other Sunday during the summer months (April to October) at the Tayport Football Club grounds, from 10am to 3pm. For more info, either visit the tayportfc.org website or contact Mr Oswald on 01382-552644.

the NEW Tayport Baby Café. Every Wednesday 2pm - 3pm in Tayport Harbour Café. Do you have a baby under 6 months old or are you about to have a baby? Come along to the NEW Tayport Baby Café, meet other mums and dads and have fun with your baby. Local workers who work with families will be available. Find out a bit more from Sharon at the Harbour Café or your Health Visitor.

A bingo night is held at the Bellrock Tavern every Sunday night in support of Tayport Football Club. Eyes down at 7:30pm.

TOPs Club - We would like to invite all of Tayport's senior citizens to come and join us in the Gregory Hall on Thursday afternoons from 2pm-4pm. We have a varied programme from solo entertainers, concert parties and speakers, a cup of tea (bring your own cup) and a chat, all for £1.50 joining fee and £1 per week after that.

Tayport Day Centre for the elderly - Every Tuesday a group of friendly, elderly people from Tayport and Newport meet in the lounge of the Servite complex in Tayport for tea/coffee and a few games of scrabble, dominos and cards, afterwards a two course lunch is served. Transport is provided by a mobility bus, which has a life if stairs are a problem. You would be collected from your door between 9:30am and 10:30am and taken home again at 1:15pm. The cost is £5 and this includes tea/coffee, lunch and two coach outings a year. Why not come along and join in - enjoy the company. There are currently places available.
